Overall
Fivestarcasino.com certainly isn’t bad, with software by Boss Media, a decent selection of games and a feature I really like: A “No Points - Just Cash' comp system. When your cash balance falls below $10.00 you will receive a cash back bonus that is available to you immediately.

As far as bonuses go, there is an initial deposit bonus of 100% (up to $50)

But there’s a very stiff wagering requirement of 20 times the bonus PLUS 20 times the deposit. Such requirements are becoming par for the course these days, so if you’re a bonus hunter, maybe this isn’t the casino for you.

But Boss Media casinos are damn pretty, and rock solid, reputation wise: Fivestarcasino is licensed in the Netherlands Antilles, its payout percentages are audited by a reputable third party (PricewaterhouseCoopers – 95.47% was the most recent overall payout figure), and works closely with the Interactive Gaming Council.

But what about the games: If you’ve played at a Boss Media casino before, you’ll know what to expect: they look excellent, play fast, and the software is very reliable. There’s a wealth of features such as banking and play history that are easily accessible, there are multiplayer and private tables available, and the interface is really nice – in Fivestar’s case, there’s what looks like a high class 70s club theme going on.

The game selection is good, with all the usual staples such as Blackjack, Caribbean Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Craps and Keno, with others such as Casino War and American Roulette, Mini Baccarat and a decent selection of slots, including progressive Jackpot slots. There is no European Roulette, however, which gives better odds, and there is only one video Poker – Jacks or Better. All things considered, the games themselves are pretty good.

I played Caribbean Poker, and cleaned up, winning $1200 over a few dozen hands. If only I’d been playing with real money….but then I probably wouldn’t have been quite so aggressive (anteing up $500 is a lot easier if it ain’t real….) But if you play for real money, you’ll find this is a game for the adventurous, with table limits of $5 - $500.

Customer service is 24/7, but the toll-free phone line is only for North American customers – shame.

I would give Fivestarcasino.com four and a half stars – it’s very good, but doesn’t stand out much from the herd of (admittedly excellent) Boss Media casinos. But I certainly did enjoy playing there. Next time, I’ll be playing for real money, and hope that my luck is as good as the first time!
