March Madness Starts 11 Months Early at Sportsbook.com
By Andrew B
To some it might seem that the season has only just ended – and you'd be right – but Sportsbook.com oddsmakers are already getting prepared for the madness to begin again! The online sportsbook has posted early odds on who will win the 2007 NCAA basketball tournament and the BCS Championships.

Alex Czajkowski, Sportsbook.com, said, 'As soon as one season ends fans start betting on it all over again. This year we set records for volume of wagers and we expect that trend to continue again in 2007.'

Florida are at odds of 7-1 to repeat their success in 2007 and with sophomore forward, Joakim Noah back on the roster, they may just do it. North Carolina are also at odds of 7-1 to take the title but this year's big story could well be Ohio State who are currently at 8-1.

Ohio State could well be worth a look particularly with the NBA's new age limit requirement and the fact that the highest rated high school prospect since LeBron James is going to be lacing up his sneakers for the Buckeyes this season.

On the gridiron front, 2007 is shaping up to be a battle between Ohio State and Notre Dame. The Buckeyes outplayed the Fighting Irish 34-20 at the Fiesta Bowl last year and looking ahead the teams are projected to battle it out for the Championship. Ohio is listed at 5-1 and Notre Dame and Oklahoma at 6-1. If the Buckeyes do prevail in both sports, they will be the first school ever to capture both the basketball and football titles in the same season.
