|WagerWorks Inc. of San Francisco yesterday announced it has again been selected by MGM MIRAGE of Las Vegas to develop its online casinos. |
WagerWorks, has been the content and technology provider for MGM MIRAGE's online, free prize casinos since the site’s inception in March 2001.
However, in order to concentrate on the international expansion of its online gaming initiative, on May 1, MGM MIRAGE will phase out the points program for its U.S. prize gaming site at www.PLAYMGMMIRAGE.com. The site will remain live after May and will continue to offer online gaming content only. Until then, players can earn prizes depending on how long they play. The prizes include Las Vegas show tickets, room upgrades and buffet tickets.
WagerWorks said it has recently completed the integration of WagerWare with Orbis's OpenBet sportsbook system, which has also been selected by MGM MIRAGE.
