|It is our pleasure to inform you that Van Mens & Wisselink has decided on opening its first office in Germany. Therewith establishing our first German presence in Frankfurt am Main, Germany’s number one financial and economic center, seat of the European Central Bank and also headquarter for many of our clients. |
Van Mens & Wisselink - Frankfurt will primarily advise German clients in Dutch law, including tax law and European law. Furthermore we will be glad to consult clients with - or the intention of building-up - a permanent business or other economic interest in Germany.
Our focus will be on commercial and corporate law. Clients will also benefit from Van Mens & Wisselink’s proven track record and its integrated approach on tax and civil law practices. The Frankfurt Office will especially provide advice on mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures, with an emphasis on cross border and real estate transactions.
The Frankfurt-Team will consist of three experienced professionals: Managing partner of the practice will be Mr. Dr. Paul Bavelaar, LL.M. He has been serving his German and Dutch clients from the Amsterdam office for the past four years and is the head of the German Desk at Van Mens & Wisselink. He is a Dutch as well as a German lawyer, admitted to both the bar in Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Whilst he will continue working from the Amsterdam office as well, the Frankfurt office will allow Paul Bavelaar even more flexibility and efficiency in working with his clients in Germany.
Second in the team will be Mrs. Carmen H. Miller, also a Dutch lawyer and Rechtsanwältin in Frankfurt, Germany. Mrs. Miller has previously been a member of the German Desk at the Amsterdam offices of Van Mens & Wisselink and will now be working at the Frankfurt office exclusively. Mr Frank Derwig, a tax lawyer of the Van Mens & Wisselink Amsterdam office with experience in German/Dutch border transactions, will be another member of the Frankfurt practice. He will work partly in both offices, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
The office will open as of May, 15th 2006, and Van Mens & Wisselink is looking forward to be at your service at its new office in Frankfurt am Main.
