|Party Gaming has announced that Anurag Dikshit, the company's operations director and technology guru, will step down from the board to focus on the development of new products. A spokesman for the online casino’s technology group said that because Dikshit is absorbed in his work as technology developer, they want him to focus only on developing new products and platforms. |
In another surprise announcement, marketing director, Vikrant Bhargava, will also step down from the board. Bhargava will leave the company at the end of the year to pursue other, unspecified, interests, but it is not yet known whether he will remain within the online casino industry. Party Gaming said that it has started procedures both internally and externally to replace both men, but they hope to retain Bhargava on an advisory capacity.
The two men hold a significant share in the company - Dikshit holds 31 percent, and Bhargava 8.6 percent of the stock. The two made hundreds of millions in profits when Party Gaming, one of the biggest online casino companies listed itself on London Stock Exchange last year.
Both resignations take place with immediate effect.
