|Think you know the score? Well if you do then you stand a chance of walking away with $10,000,000 at the end of this summer’s world cup in Germany. In this unique free-to-enter competition, online gambling firm Intertops.com is inviting sports fans to predict the outcome of the 64 matches in the 2006 Football World Cup to have a chance at landing the $10 million grand prize. |
The competition is open to everyone over 18-years-old and entries must be in one hour before the kick off of the opening match on June 9. One man who has already submitted his predictions is German goalkeeping legend and 1974 world cup winner Sepp Maier, who joked, “a 50/50 chance – you either get it right or you don’t!” However Maier won’t have inspired much confidence for the host nation, as he predicted a triumph for tournament favourites Brazil.
The competition is simple to understand and allows every football fan the chance to participate without the need for a complicated strategy or inside football knowledge.
Intertops.com was the first sportsbook ever to offer online bets, and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. “With our 10th anniversary and the World Cup falling in the same year, we thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate by offering our $10 million World Cup Bracket,” said Michl Posch, Head of Marketing at Intertops.com.
