|Ethoca Limited has announced the addition of two of the online gaming industry’s leading players, Bodog and the Excapsa Gaming Network, to its data sharing network. |
The two online gambling companies have joined forces with Ethoca in a bid to help eradicate unwanted transactional activity in their ‘customer not present’ environments, through the use of data sharing. The pioneering service works by connecting its members to a collective pool of member-provided customer transactional data, which is maintained in a manner that prevents any compromise of the privacy or proprietary rights of the customer or member. This information and analyses provided by Ethoca instantly enables each member to evaluate the risk of fraud on any given transaction, allowing them to make an informed decision on whether to process a transaction or not.
“Moving forward and entrusting our data with Ethoca gives us an opportunity to work alongside some of the other leaders in the online gaming industry to eradicate transactional activities that are both damaging to our business and harmful to the industry,” says Calvin Ayre, founder and CEO of Bodog. “This is another innovative step aimed at providing the best and safest platform for our customers to play and I encourage others to join us with Ethoca.”
Bodog.com is one of the leading US facing online gambling brands, with the highest
site traffic amongst multi-product US gaming web sites. Bodog Entertainment Group also
boasts a music label, Bodog Music, an online magazine, BodogNation.com, and a television production unit with more new concepts in the pipeline.
Excapsa Software Inc CEO Jim Ryan, added, “We have wanted a solution like this for a while but we needed a trustworthy and respected partner to make it happen,” he said. “Ethoca was a natural fit because it understands the benefits of sharing data and has conceived and implemented the solution in a way that makes us comfortable doing so. It’s a great opportunity to join forces with our peers.”
Excapsa Software Inc develops, maintains and markets multi-player, real time Internet enabled gaming software and manages the Excapsa Gaming Network, whose licensee brands include; DevilfishPoker.com, UltimateBet.com, UltimatePoker.com, cardPlayerPoker.com.
“We are thrilled to be working with Bodog and Excapsa; industry leaders that understand that businesses can combat unwanted transactional activity much more effectively by working together. We are proud to be at the forefront of this global effort,” said Ethoca president and CEO Andre Edelbrock.
Ethoca has an ongoing commitment to expanding globally across many industries that do business in a ‘customer-not-present’ environment. The Dublin based company is currently in negotiations with other well recognized brands.
