|Microgaming powered Spin3 has announced that WooWorld, a leading mobile and online entertainment content aggregator in Asia, has selected Spin3’s play-for-fun SpinFone system to offer the first mobile gaming competition in Singapore. Mobile gamers will now be able to download WooWorld’s WowBoss casino games via premium SMS and compete for prizes such as iPod Shuffles, digital cameras, Swatch watches and shopping vouchers.|
WowBoss will offer a SpinFone suite of five casino style games, including Blackjack, classic slots and Roulette, all available for download on mobile devices. WooWorld and mobile operators are set to share revenues generated from downloads and player retention built into the SpinFone system.

With its governments currently relaxing gaming restrictions, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to generate $2.7 billion annually in mobile gaming revenues. According to analysts at Informa Telecoms & Media, the number of mobile gamblers on a global scale will increase to 201.4 million in 2010 from its present total of 48.1 million. In Asia-Pacific, the number will increase from 22.1 million to 96.7 million during the same period.
