Bodog.com postpones Conference Following Indictments
By Andrew B
Bodog.com has announced that in light of the recent developments involving the indictments and arrests of David Carruthers as well as others involved with BetOnSports, the Bodog conference scheduled for next week at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas has been cancelled.

Many industry observers see this as a time to keep a low profile but Calvin Ayre, founder and CEO of Bodog.com, had initially stated the conference would go ahead as planned. He has now had a change of heart.

Calvin Ayre, said in the statement, 'In the last few days, many of you who planned to attend the conference have expressed a high level of concern over the uncertainty surrounding the U.S. government's recent actions against one of the companies in our industry. It is in light of these concerns that we have decided to postpone the Bodog.com Marketing Conference to a later date and at an international location. This decision ensures that the focus of the conference will not be lost.'

The expected guests at the conference will have their conference registration and sponsorship fees fully refunded.

Ayre went on to say, 'I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, but in spite of what has happened of late we chose to act with your best interests in mind. I assure you that we will make it up to you with a bigger and better conference to be announced in the near future.'
