|The world’s largest tradeshow for I-gaming professionals, the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo 2002 is gathering steam, ready for Toronto May 13th to 15th.|
What was once a 'boutique show' for a fledgling industry has now become an educational conference, a full-sized tradeshow, and a confluence of governmental, technological, and gambling movers and shakers, as well as investors, to one event where the major decisions, buys, and networking opportunities will occur.
A distinguished American panel of key players in the online casino industry will give updates on the progress, or otherwise, of legalising online gambling in the US. They are Tony Impreveduto, Assemblyman, (New Jersey) Wally Chalmers, of the American Gaming Association, Bill Hornbuckle, of the MGM Grand.
The leap from land-based to online casinos will be discussed by Andrew MacDonald from PBL Gaming (Vanatuatu,) Tobin Prior, Sun International (UK,) Peter Kjaer from Dr. Ho (Antigua).
Other topics covered are: the investment market outlook, niche products, technical delivery systems, pari-mutuel advances in I-gaming, and the growth of online sportsbooks.
There will also be optional pre-summit workshops on ‘Introduction to the Industry’ on May 13th.
