In a bid to stop tourists gawping at ‘high rollers’ placing bets, Las Vegas’s casinos want to let wealthy gamblers bet in private VIP salons. Some casinos are arguing that wealthy bettors are being put off playing in Vegas casinos because they are not assured privacy. Under the new bill, which would allow casinos to open a separate gambling room to those they believe qualify, is being approved by the Legislature but is awaiting a signature by Gov. Kenny Guinn. Gambling Analyst at Bear Stearns, Jason Ader, believes that Vegas should do whatever they can do cater for this segment of the market.
