|According to PRnewswire, the online site for British Telecommunications, BTOpenworld.com, in partnership with others is to create a new section, Sports & Bets, which will feature casino games, sports betting, lotteries, and bingo. Each of these sectors has been strategically licensed with partners which have the rights sort of content to maximize business in their relevant sector. |
Station Casinos in Las Vegas and Sun International Hotels Online division, licensed in the Isle of Man, will link up with BT in the casino sector. The linking will make a “wide range of downloadable and online casino games” available and the new betting on BTopenworld.com will be offering deals regarding Sun’s Bahamas resort, Atlantis.
UKbetting.com is to be BTopenworld's partner in sports betting. John Raczka, BTopenworld.com Vice President of Content, said BT also plans to “...launch an exclusive broadband sports subscription service that will offer even greater value to bookmakers seeking to turn sports fans into punters.” Sports & Bets will offer a full bookmaking service, daily sports news, previews and reports on sporting events, real time reports on scores, and a betting news service that will include all the sports in the UK and in the US as well.
Other leading UK bookmakers, such as Coral Eurobet, have also been signed to provide the live odds online, and the Oddschecker feature will invite bettors to pick comparative odds from a variety of bookmakers.
BTopenworld.com will also offer a free daily lotto, a lotto newsletter, and the results online and via SMS of the National UK Lottery, played every Wednesday and Saturday.
Bingo, which is big business in the UK, will be covered on site by an agreement between BT and The Rank Group, PLC, offering Rank.com bingo, keno, dice, and “fruit machine” (slots) gambling.
