|French online poker player Remy Elkoubi has become the fifth player in recent months to walk away Titan Poker’s Fort Knox jackpot of $100,000 after winning five consecutive Sit ‘n’ Go tournaments.|
The jackpot winner from Marseille, France, qualified for the chance to win the $100,000 prize after reigning victorious in five consecutive Fort Knox Jackpot Sit ‘n’ Go tournaments, and then winning his decisive game with a Straight Flush.
Elkoubi reflected, 'I had tried to win this Jackpot a few times, but I never had any success until this beautiful day,' he said. 'I will remember this day for all of my life, although I can barely recall the final game as I was under so much pressure, but I do remember the last hand – a Straight Flush.'
Elkoubi becomes the latest Titan Poker player to win the Fort Knox Jackpot following the successes of Guy Meridjen, also from France, Derrick Morin from Canada, Richard Stringer from the United Kingdom and Joseph Dulaney from Texas.
The Fort Knox Jackpot begins at $50,000 and grows progressively by $10,000 each week if no player manages to win enough consecutive tournaments to take the prize.
