|A report initiated by Nottingham Trent University promises to be the largest ever online gambling survey commissioned by eCOGRA, and is expected to reveal some surprising results. The findings of the survey are expected to be revealed at the upcoming ICE exhibition on January 23.|
The survey quizzed over 10,000 participants from all over the globe, and due to its scale it hopes to represent the clearest interpretation of the online gambling industry from the point of view of the players themselves. Named ‘The Global Online Gambler Report’ it is expected to focus on areas such as player protection, preferences, various gambling portals and their value, favourite games and particularly responsible gambling.
eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge said this week, 'Early indications are that there will be some surprises in the report. We think it will be very revealing for both industry insiders and a wider public.'
Aided by the Las Vegas based University of Nevada, the gambling research team at Nottingham Trent believe their study is employing the leading minds in the field of gambling, both in business and psychology. Draft versions of the review indicate that some surprising results can be expected, providing a valuable insight into the world of online casino gambling.
