Leading online poker site, Everest Poker, has announced plans to hold a series of tournaments to send players to the upcoming Austrian Open.

The series of satellite tournaments will see players compete for a space in the seventh Austrian Open, at the Casino Bregenz in Bregenz, Austria on March 3-4, 2007. 'The Austrian Open has become a popular event in the world of poker and we're eager to send some of our best players,' said Jonathan May, Everest Poker Property Manager.

Satellites with a buy-in of $11 + 1 are held on a daily basis alongside rebuys of $3 +30. Players can also enter by using an Everest Poker Bronze Token Freeroll. The weekly, direct entry tournaments take place on Mondays with a $100 + 9 buy-in, with the winners of each of the five tournaments securing a seat at the Austrian Open.

May added, “This is a great event and we're looking forward to seeing our players there. With a €2,000 main event prize, the Austrian Open is sure to bring out the best in our players.”
