NETeller Founders Could Face Imprisonment
By Miriam H
Two co-founders of the lucrative online gambling payment system NETeller will face a preliminary hearing in New York on February 14 to decide whether they will face formal charges.

Both John Lefebvre and Stephen Lawrence were released on respective $5 million bail settlements last week, and are not permitted to travel outside the United States. They are also looking at the harsh reality of a maximum 20-year prison sentence if convicted of all three charges, the most serious of which is money laundering.

Just after last weeks arrests came news that the US Department of Justice has sent subpoenas to around 15 investment banks across Europe and the United States, requesting an array of information as part of an investigation into gambling companies that reportedly include PartyGaming and NETeller, according to banking sources.
