The Wizard of Oz’s Online Casinos Upgrades Software
By Miriam H
Australia based online casino group, the Lasseters Corporation, has launched an upgraded software system that allows players to tailor their gaming experience according to individual needs.

The group’s recent introduction of the Orbis OpenBet platform, allows players to take advantage of multi-lingual and multi-currency functionality as well as giving them the option to choose the speed, sound and resolution of their games.

'The convergence of technology and expanding range of gaming options mean players are really in the power position of dictating what they want from a gaming provider,' said Managing Director Peter Bridge.

The currencies offered at Lasseter’s online casino site are Euros, British Pounds and United States Dollars. The multilingual functionality, which will be offered later this month, will intially cover English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, and French.

Since the company’s exit from the US market in October 2006, Lasseters has conducted a review of its gaming software, exploring the various ways it can be expanded to attract the international market.

“The multi-currency functionality is also a key requirement in expanding our penetration of non-English speaking, and specifically, non-US markets,' added Bridge.
