|When Lewis Rose announced his retirement last September, he did it on condition that he found someone to replace him. Just over six months down the line and the wait for his successor is now over following the announcement that Javaid Aziz will take over as CEO.|
Aziz, who’s CV includes CEO at IBM and 30 years in the IT industry, will bring a wealth of experience and contacts. His first task will be bedding down the new headquarters in Dublin, although CryptoLogic is reconfiguring with a UK base.
Aziz said that he is excited to, “Lead the CryptoLogic team as we set a course for continued growth and expansion in the UK, Europe and Asia.'
Under Rose, the company swelled from a market capitalisation of CDN$92 million in 1992 to CDN$400 million today.
CryptoLogic Chairman Robert Strikeman, expressed his confidence saying that they have found 'An experienced leader in both the management of an innovative technology company - and a global business based in Europe. Lewis Rose has laid an excellent foundation - and we're confident Javaid will build on this success.'
