Online Gaming Trade Fairs Expand
By Marianne Lambert
Casino Affiliate shows such as GIGSE and CAP Europe, have proved bigger and better than ever before this year, but the expanding market in Latin America has also led to the Latin-American Gaming Fair (ELA) 2008, planned for Monterrey in Mexico, announcing that it has increased the area reserved for exhibitors, after applications for space doubled in one month.

While Monterrey is certainly an attractive location, the applications are tending to be for larger stands, with companies wanting to make the most of their displays with the sudden expansion of online gaming clients in Mexico.

However, Mexico is not the only market on the table in Monterrey. Andean, Central American and Caribbean regions as well as markets in Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama are also exciting new grounds for business.

According to Ramiro Carvajales, operations manager for the (ELA), 'We have doubled from an initially scheduled 3,000 m2 to 6,000 m2 in just one month.' He was specific about the Andean regions too; “In a few short days, we have received many requests for information on ELA-2008 from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, as well as Surinam and Guyana.”
