GamCare Prepares UK for September 1
By staff
British problem gambling organisation GamCare has announced the formation of its GamCare Trade Services (GTS) training facility to help online gambling operators gear up for September’s introduction of the UK Gambling Act with its social responsibility requirements.

GTS will provide training services for operator staff involved with problem gambling activities and is being led by Managing Director Andrew Poole. It has partnered with software consultancy Absolutely Training following its success on Betfair initiatives and both have already produced courses that include problem gambling and social responsibility and the skill required in working with problem gambling. GTS said that Absolutely Training would be among the leaders in signing up for these new services.

“GamCare training has always been an important part of Betfair’s social responsibility programme,” said Kate Stewart, Social Responsibility Manager for Betfair.

“This new e-learning solution will enable us to ensure that all staff, across all locations, onshore and offshore, can benefit from GamCare’s high standards of training.”
