Italian Online Casino Bust
By staff
The Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (AGI) press service in Italy has reported that financial police have been active in busting an illegal and unlicensed online betting ring that stretched over 20 centres.

Following an investigation on allegations of unauthorised online betting, AGI said that Taranto Financial Guard officers took the names of 56 people for further investigations.

According to AGI, police uncovered a complex system that managed to evade the authorisation systems in place for gambling operated by the Amministrazione Autonoma Dei Monopoli Di Stato (AAMS), the Italian Government agency in charge of controlling State monopolies.

The Italian service reported that those under investigation are unnamed owners and clients of the locations where the bets were placed with a sizeable amount of hardware being seized as well.
