|Scotland’s Hearts of Midlothian Football Club has announced a two-year sponsorship agreement with leading integrated gaming company Gala Coral Group to become an official online gaming partner.|
The deal will see Gala Coral provide a range of online gaming services including betting, poker, casino and bingo games to The Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League outfit, known around the world as simply ‘Hearts’.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be working in this new online partnership with Coral,” said Ali Russell, Commercial Director for the Edinburgh-based soccer club. “Coral are a well recognised and highly respected gaming brand in the UK and this agreement sees us continue to fulfil our ‘less is more’ strategy of sector sponsorship. We have already begun working proactively with Coral on a range of different projects, which are innovative and exciting.
“As we continue to build the business side of Hearts we will continue to aggressively seek to build new partnerships with category sponsors.”
As part of Gala Coral’s commitment to social responsibility, the gaming giant has agreed to make a two million dollar donation to the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust with every new account that is opened by supporters of the Club. In addition, a former Hearts player is to be invited to make a weekly charity bet that will see any winnings also going to the Trust.
“Coral understands the excitement of Scottish football and the interest around Hearts, who have established themselves as a real threat to the ‘Old Firm’ in recent years,” said Richard Jaques of Coral.co.uk. “We aim to provide their supporters with a range of betting opportunities to complement their passion for football.”
