|The British technology firm GB Group has announced a deal with two of the UK’s major gambling firms for its services.|
GB Group specialises in online electronic identification checks and has added William Hill and Ladbrokes to its list of clients meaning that it now caters for all of the UK’s top ten online gaming companies.
This announcement comes on the heels of a decision by telecommunications site Blyk.com, which announced that it would use GB's URU and ID3-Check as its chosen age and identity verification solutions for a new advertisement-funded mobile network that links young people with their favourite brands, along with providing free text messages and minutes every month.
'These recent business successes for GB's electronic age and identity solutions in both the online gaming and telecoms sectors increase our leading position in these markets,” said Richard Law, Chief Executive for GB Group.
'More importantly, they illustrate the continued move by organisations away from paper-based methods of verification to more efficient and effective electronic solutions. This is evident across all sectors including financial services.'
William Hill said that it would be using ID3 to verify the identities of international players in order to reduce the risk of underage gamblers or players from illegal territories accessing its products and services.
