|The British land and online gambling company Gala Coral Group has announced the appointment of London’s The Red Brick Road as its advertising agency responsible for its entire portfolio of businesses.|
Gala Coral said that the agency had initially agreed to work for its bingo division in February but that this latest agreement would see the marketers responsibilities grow to cover Gala Casinos and Coral retail along with its television betting and online divisions.
The appointment comes following last month’s change in UK legislation that now allows online gambling companies to advertise over mainstream media outlets subject to strong safeguards. British gambling groups are increasingly looking to these newly liberalised UK advertising policies, particularly television, to help boost attendances and revenues.
The Red Brick Road said that a new Gala Coral campaign would premiere in Scotland later this month before going national from January. Paul Hammersley of The Red Brick Road said that the agency was delighted with the expansion of its relationship with Gala Coral and that the new promotion would include both long and short television advertisements along with appearances in the national press with sheet posters and radio and bus signage.
