Gaming companies target Latin market

Spanish is the fourth most-spoken language in the world, with over 330 million speakers worldwide, 22,500,000 of them in the US. So it’s no surprise that online gaming sites are beginning to target the Latin market, as two companies recently announced.

Rimpac Resources announced last week that it has launched a Spanish version of its promotional Internet Lottery web site.

The Spanish web site displays a dynamic FLASH presentation of the current Global Lottery Market generating over $130 Billion in ticket sales, and

Thomas M. Johnson, President and CEO, said of the launch: 'By launching Web site in Spanish, we are following our business plan to introduce our brand to Latin America and Spain, where over $4 Billion (USD) in lottery tickets were sold in 2001. Johnson says the company intends to capture the profile of offline players and convert them to become Internet LOTO members with promotions and incentives.

Meanwhile, one of the Internet’s most recognizable names Intercasino announced last week the debut of Spanish InterCasino, with games and Ecash facilities both built in Spanish to ensure consistency from gameplay to cashout, and 24/7customer support available in Spanish.

The Spanish site offers over 35 casino games, including Break the Bank, Blackjack, Craps, Slots, Video Poker and Keno.
