Online Network’s ‘Stravaganza’

The Playtech network of online casinos has announced the release of its Stravaganza progressive jackpot game, a card table game played with five decks.

Playtech stated that the object of the game is to have a total higher than the dealer. It said that the value of each card is similar to blackjack in that picture cards are worth ten points, aces are worth one point and all other cards allocated points according to their rank. The difference between this game and blackjack is that players cannot bust so the more points they have, the better.

Playtech is the world’s largest publicly-traded online gaming software supplier and said that playing is simple by clicking on chips to place bets on the table in the area marked ‘play’. By then clicking on ‘deal’ players then are dealt two cards face up and the dealer is dealt three cards face down. Players then have a choice depending on their total points.

During the game, if a player’s total is less than five points, they get their bet refunded while, if their total is between six and nine, they have the option of getting half of their bet back and ending the round. If their total is over ten points, players may choose to sit and play their two cards and their original bet but they must place a second bet that is the same size as the first bet. In this scenario they will then be dealt a third card to boost their points total, which is available at anytime.
