|Australian wagering and online gambling group Centrebet International has announced the launch of its fully operational mobile betting site first hinted at late last year.|
Centrebet stated that the new site is the result of 18 months of development and planning with UK mobile technology provider Mfuse and was finalised only after it converted to the Orbis OpenBet wagering platform.
The service underwent its first operational trials during Australia’s recent Spring Racing Festival and performed well with Centrebet stating that the site should increase betting turnover and broaden its customer base.
“We foresee a sizeable revenue improvement over time as a result of the product’s portability and accessibility and also as a flow-on from increased acceptance by consumers of other java-based mobile products,” said Con Kafataris, Managing Director for Centrebet.
“We are confident the convenience and ease of use are plus factors that will excite punters as well as appeal to sports fans who just want to view odds as part of the sporting experience.
“Certainly our research shows that the service will be seen as attractive to regular on-line clients on the strength of them being able to make bets both at and away from the computer. The service provides a full complement of bet types meaning it is geared to meeting the demands of the broadest possible range of racing, sports and general entertainment wagering fans.”
