Leading online casino has announced the launch of a website to raise funds for a school in Africa. stated that education is key to combating AIDS in Africa and it has launched to let the public make donations to Malawi’s Umodzi-Mbame School and bring hope to nearby villages.

Following an approach from the aid workers of Project Team in 2005, the popular slots and video poker site committed to providing all of the funds needed to construct the school in the village of Juma. also agreed to support the project until it became self-sufficient after volunteers worked through the rainy season to construct the building.

The story of how Project Team brought a village together to build the school is told on the new website along with how donations will be used to assist neighbouring villages.

“We’ve been reporting the progress of the project to our players for two years,” said Slotland’s Martin Smith.

“So many people have told us how proud they are of what we’re doing that we provided this fundraising website to give them an opportunity to get more involved and to make personal donations.”
