|American mobile telephone manufacturer and developer Hop-On Inc has announced a deal for 62,000 units from an unnamed Latin American distributor.|
The deal is for the California-based company’s latest HOP2001 PDA mobile telephone, which features wi-fi support, Windows Mobile 6, built-in GPS for use with Telenav GPS Navigator and a lightweight design.
Hop-On stated that its HOP2001 meets the needs of both business users and consumers wanting entertainment features not found in conventional phones. The units will retail for approximately $400 and are designed to allow for simultaneous standby to enable users to choose either mode at any time when making a phone call or sending a short message. It is designed with a large 2.8-inch tilting colour touchscreen with sharper images and enhanced usability.
'Hop-On is including its patented universal car charger, leather case and proper cables for synchronizing the HOP2001 to personal computers,” said Peter Michaels, President for Hop-On.
“We are excited to be working with our distributor for distribution within the US market. The phones will also have our gaming software preloaded on the phones.'
