New Asian-centric Online Games On Their Way

A new batch of Asian-centric online games are in the works following gaming company World Mahjong Tour’s purchase of, a Chinese software development firm based in Chengdu.

World Mahjong Tour stated that is respected for its works on a range of games including Chinese and Sichuan Mahjong, Dou Di Zhu, Traktor Poker, Chinese Chess, Go/Weiqi and Junqi with more games in the development stage due for release soon.

'This acquisition allows us to immediately offer both play-for-free games directly to the consumer markets throughout Asia and also a white-label software offering for companies throughout the world who want to enter this ever growing market,' said Pierre Wuu, co-founder of World Mahjong Tour.

'The Asian online gaming market is the fastest growing in the world and World Mahjong Tour intends to reach consumers directly via its own branded websites and via licensing deals from operators looking to have Asian game offerings.'

As part of the deal, Garret Lin, founder of, will serve as the Director of Technology for World Mahjong Tour bringing his wealth of experience to bear.
