European Poker Champs To Be Expanded
By Staff
Encouraged by the popularity of its inaugural European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP), VCPoker.com has announced a bigger and better second tournament.

The Gibraltar-licensed site stated its ECOOP II would have more players, more prizes and more money as it seeks to crown Europe’s ultimate online poker champion.

Satellites for the event will commence this week with the competition proper running between May 25 and June 4. VCPoker.com stated that the main events are to be made up of games of No Limit and Limit Texas Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha High-Low.

ECOOP II will be comprised of individual prize pools ranging from $100,000 up to $1.500 million for a total guaranteed pot of $3.6 million. In addition, the top 100 players in the ten main events will be awarded a seat in an exclusive $50,000 MVP Freeroll with the winner crowned the 2008 ECOOP II Most Valuable Player.

Along with the accolade of being a European online poker champion and a large cash prize, each tournament winner, including the lucky MVP, will receive an ECOOP winner's bracelet to symbolise their supremacy.
