|In the first of two international friendlies, England take on the United States of America in football – or soccer depending on your perspective – before Euro 2008 kicks off sans England this summer.|
England boss Fabio Capello has continued to chop and change the captain’s armband, selecting John Terry to lead the side against the USA tonight.
'It is a good decision for John Terry after last Wednesday, which was not nice for him,” the Italian-born coach said. “He is a leader.”
Capello has also said he is happy to be staying within the squad until at least June 1, when England play the second of their two friendlies against Trinidad and Tobago.
The USA win offered by Victor Chandler is a tempting offer, but two key players in the England side – Ferdinand and Rooney – will be on a recent high from Champions League success and goalkeeper David James recently lifted the FA Cup. A rather more likely England win is offered commonly at 33/40. A draw is 18/5 from Victor Chandler and PaddyPower offer an inviting bet of 90/1 for England to lead at half-time and eventually lose.
