Portugal Take On Czechs Tonight In Euro 2008
By Staff
The Czech Republic and Portugal are set to lock horns tonight in the second of their group matches which have thus far seen the former team rest a comfortable second and the latter skyrocket to the top of their group.

Portugal are expected to field the same side that beat Turkey 2-0 in the last match, however pundits had speculated after the match that Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal’s star winger and arguably one of the best players in the world, put in a distinctly sub-par performance in Portugal’s opening games.

This lack of faith seems to be reflected by most bookmakers with long odds given for Portugal to win the whole tournament – a pricely 6-1 quoted by Intertops for the strong nation to win it all is a very good offer considering the skill within the side. Germany, however, still look to be runaway favourites.
