|Many followers of professional poker often lament the apparent lack of well-renowned players at the WSOP final table – they are of course talking about the $10,000 Main Event, but in each of the several dozen other events the top players are still showing the amateurs who’s boss.|
Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow won his third World Series of Poker bracelet in the $5,000 No Limit 2-7 Lowball w/Rebuys after beating a field of 84 other hopefuls. The prize pool swelled to $1.7m after 272 rebuys and add-ons, of which Matusow won a nice chunk; taking home $537,862.
Other noted professionals have been storming the WSOP also – Full Tilt Pro and eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Erik Seidel recently made the final table of the World Championship $10,000 Seven-Card Stud event and Daniel Negreanu is riding high at the final table of the $2,000 Limit Hold ‘em tournament at the time of going to press.
Negreanu is offering his fans odds that he will win a WSOP bracelet this year on his personal website.
