Germany And Turkey Clash In Euro 2008
By Staff
A tournament full of surprises, UEFA Euro 2008 is building to a climax as tonight and tomorrow, two teams will fall and two will look to lift the trophy on June 29.

Germany were pre-tournament favourites and even a stunning initial performance from Holland who looked set to go all the way and a shock defeat to Croatia didn’t dampen bookies’ spirits. Their odds have always been very indicative of their strength.

It is therefore no surprise that Germany are favourites to win tonight’s game. Online bookmaker PaddyPower give odds of 4/9 on a Germany win, with Turkey trailing at a mere 7/1. A level score after 90 minutes might be worth a gamble with decent odds of 10/3.

Germany have won 11 out of the 17 games the two sides have played previously, however the last time the teams collided Turkey snatched a 2-1 home victory at an Istanbul friendly.
