|Michael Greco, the British actor-turned-poker-player who recently made a World Series of Poker final table, has signed for Littlewoods Poker in a sponsorship deal.|
The former actor who played Eastenders’ Beppe DiMarco for six years will represent the UK gaming site at upcoming live and online events including the European Poker Tour.
“When I first started getting interested in the game, I was just playing with friends and learning the basics,” said Greco, who has now been playing for over five years. “I’m delighted that Littlewoods Poker has chosen to sponsor me for the new season.
“Over the past couple of years, I’ve been trying to stay away from the limelight and the celebrity lifestyle that I had when I was in Eastenders. I’m still working as an actor I’ve also been concentrating very hard on my poker”.
Greco is fusing his two passions, using his acting abilities to his advantage at the poker table.
“I have a great advantage as I can bluff very well and I can either hide my tells or create false ones to confuse them,” he revealed. Greco recently made a final table in a World Series of Poker Pot Limit Hold ‘em event, finishing 9th.
