World Series Of Poker Main Event At Final Few Tables
By Staff
By the time this story is published, the World Series of Poker $10,000 No Limit Hold ‘em Main Event will have a final table. As we report, 44 players remain with the most recent elimination being none other than Phil ‘The Poker Brat’ Hellmuth.

Hellmuth has won a record 11 WSOP bracelets in various Hold ‘em events including the 1989 Main Event. Although his finish adds over $150k to his career earnings, he will surely be disappointed to have beaten 5,999 people without making it bracelet number 12.

Mike Matusow is currently averagely-stacked with 3.53m. He has already contributed to the Year of the Pro by winning the 2-7 Lowball event, his third WSOP bracelet. If he makes the final table, he will have to wait until November to gun for the top prize. One thing’s for sure though – if he does win the $9.119m first prize, he will never stop talking about it.
