PokerDome operates bricks-and-mortar venues in the Asia-Pacific region alongside the Oz Poker Tour brand, which runs events in pubs and clubs in Australia. Under the terms of the agreement, the new online poker room will be powered by 888 and complement PokerDome's offline poker events including the Tour.
“We are delighted to be associated with a quality company such as 888 and look forward to working together in the region to offer our players a unique range of cash games, tournaments and satellites,” said Chris Levick, Chief Executive Officer for PokerDome.
PokerDome is the largest operator of permanent poker tables in Australia and previously operated the Southern Cross Poker brand, which was part of the iPoker network.
888 stated that the deal was another milestone in its white-label strategy of facilitating the successful penetration of potential high growth geographies and an example of its status as a leading provider in the online gaming market.
“We are excited to partner with an innovative and diverse poker operator such as PokerDome,” said Gigi Levy, Chief Executive Officer for 888.
“We recognise PokerDome's expertise as an offline operator and look forward to serving their customers in the online environment. PokerDome have a close association with two World Series of Poker bracelet winners so we expect a mutually successful relationship.”
