In America, Cantor Gaming has announced the acquisition of the assets of Michael ‘Mickey’ Wichinsky's family of businesses providing it with one of Nevada's richest portfolios of gaming content developed over 50 years.
Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of global financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald, now owns the company's comprehensive catalogue of casino games, its intellectual property and gaming expertise and its full library of art, designs and technology.
New York-based Cantor Gaming stated that Wichinsky would remain as a consultant to the company as it integrated and adapted games and content from the catalogue onto its mobile gaming device, eDeck, which is currently undergoing field trials at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
'’Mickey’ Wichinsky is one of the most successful and most respected game developers in Nevada,” said Lee Amaitis, President for Cantor Gaming.
“His experience in gaming IP is unparalleled in the business. We're honoured to be working with him and excited about the possibilities that this acquisition opens up for Cantor Gaming.
“We have been developing a number of proprietary games for our eDeck platform and with this move we have added some of the most creative and successful content in Nevada gaming to our inventory of games.
The long tradition and quality that Wichinsky brings, coupled with Cantor's innovation and our new wireless technology will give visitors to Las Vegas an experience that we think is truly unique.'
“With mobile gaming, operators can give customers the freedom to game where and when they choose,” said Wichinsky.
“The wireless technology means casinos can tailor the content to their customers' preferences and the there's no limit on the number of new games they can add. This gives Cantor Gaming and the casino operators that work with them enormous creative potential and I'm pleased to be contributing to that.'
