|European Online Gaming 2002 takes place the UK, the first G7 country to liberalise gambling laws. The event organisers promise to bring up-to-the-minute news about the government’s proposals to relax the laws for gaming and regulate online gambling.|
On the 13th November, the first morning of this year’s event, the focus will be exclusively on the implementation of the Budd proposals, which instigated the changes. There will be a Keynote Address from the UK Government Minister responsible for their introduction – Richard Caborn, Minister for Sport at the DEPARTMENT FOR CULTURE, MEDIA & SPORT – plus the response from the global gaming industry.
A specialist panel of speakers will also discuss the emergence of the UK as a leading online gaming jurisdiction, the impact of legal reform on the UK’s landbased industry and the knock-on effect to other European jurisdictions.
Over the full two days of the event, the conference programme will examine many of the key issues and challenges for the online gaming market, including; customer acquisition & retention, international barriers & opportunities, creating new consumers for online gaming services, plus a wide range of branding & marketing issues.
