E-Gaming Regs Coming to NJ
By Earl
The Bergen Record newspaper reports that Governor McGreevey’s transition team on gaming will “examine whether the state should regulate Internet gambling.” Those in favor of online gambling say it would be “... icing on the cake for New Jersey's $4.3 billion casino industry...” Those opposed to the advance of I-gaming in New Jersey believe it would be “too technologically difficult to control, and ripe for abuse by youngsters and compulsive gamblers.”

Although the New Jersey Casino Control Commission have decided New Jersey is not yet ready to effectively regulate online betting, they also agree that I-gaming, with regulation, is inevitable. 'In our opinion, it's going to happen some day,' said James Hurley, ex-Chair of the state Casino Control Commission.
