In the UK, Alderney-licensed CrownBingo.com revealed that its new spokesperson, celebrity television presenter Alison Hammond, won $217 late last week playing on the online bingo site.
Birmingham-born Hammond shot to fame in 2002 after appearing in the third instalment of Big Brother in Britain. She has since gone on to appear on television in, among others, Loose Women, Celebrity Fit Club, Celebrities Under Pressure and This Morning.
Hammond won $181 on Friday while playing the site’s scratchcards and then topped this off by receiving $36 playing roulette. The 33-year-old was playing while taking a break from a photo shoot that was part of a new deal that will see her become the new celebrity face of CrownBingo.com. The agreement will see Hammond’s image appear on advertising banners in addition to her serving as a moderator for the site’s chat rooms.
