Chartwell Technology Incorporated has announced the promotion of Dave Acorn, the Calgary-based gaming application provider’s Vice-President of Software Development, to the new role of Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Chartwell stated that Acorn would oversee all of the operational aspects of its broad product design, development and deployment along with helping to expand its client services capabilities.
Chartwell specialises in the development of leading-edge gaming applications and entertainment content for the Internet and other remote access devices and revealed that Clinton Begin would take over as its Vice-President of Software Development.
“Having consulted as a Senior Developer and Agile Mentor for industry greats such as ThoughtWorks, Microsoft and Stanford University, Clinton Begin’s experiences have spanned a broad range of business and technical domains,” read a statement from Chartwell.
“He has applied agile methodologies, open source software, Java, .NET and Ruby to the development of large-scale applications and is an experienced author and speaker and has delivered formal presentations and training from San Francisco to New York City.”
