Microgaming To Block US Traffic
By Staff
Recently it was reported that Microgaming’s site was down and that the state of Kentucky was implicated in the event. Now it has been revealed that, effective Monday, Microgaming’s site will close its doors to US customers.

Microgaming have been leading software providers for the industry for a long time and their licensees include Vegas Partner Lounge, 32Red, Carmen Media and Fortune Lounge. At this time it is unknown whether or not these sites will be made unavailable to Americans.

Microgaming Poker is also the network used by Doyle’s Room, the online poker site of legendary ten-time World Series of Poker bracelet-winner Doyle Brunson. The domain registrants of doylesroom.com have already handed over the site’s operating certificate to Kentucky.

Original reports suggested that Microgaming simply planned to block residents of Kentucky but that the challenge of blocking one state within a country proved technically difficult.
