London-based online bingo site WilliamHillBingo.com is now the sponsor of UK television game show Spin Star after signing a sponsorship agreement with terrestrial broadcaster ITV last week.
The six-week deal began on Monday and marks the first time that the Gibraltar-licensed site has stepped in to the world of television programme advertising. The arrangement will see WilliamHillBingo.com feature in commercials of various lengths at the beginning and end of the programme along with during advertisement breaks.
Spin Star is hosted by former Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh and features a main stage dominated by an enormous Las Vegas-style slot machine containing questions and cash prizes. Contestants build large prize pots worth hundreds of thousands of dollars that can then be won at the end of the show.
The hour-long programme is set to be broadcast every weekday on ITV1 beginning at half-past three in the afternoon followed by a free bingo game at WilliamHillBingo.com.
“We’re very pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor Spin Star,” said Lili Huang, Spokesperson for parent firm William Hill.
“It’s an incredibly lively and entertaining show with plenty of surprises and excitement as we always offer on our website. We are aiming to solidify our bingo image and increase national recognition and sponsoring Spin Star is a perfect opportunity for us.”
This deal follows a national television advertising campaign for WilliamHillBingo.com over the summer in addition to the recently completed promotion that focused on the site’s support of Breast Cancer Care through its Pink Ribbon games.
