Orbis Holdings Limited, the parent company of Orbis Technology Limited, has acquired English online interactive games developer Electracade Limited in a deal worth almost four million dollars.

London-based Orbis is a leading provider of interactive gaming and betting solutions including its OpenBet platform and revealed that it had purchased Electracade's entire share capital for $3.82 million. It stated that Blackwater-based Electracade had an established portfolio of innovative and compelling games that would complement its existing product range and that further consideration could be payable conditional upon certain future performance criteria.

Orbis was established in 1996 as a provider of interactive gaming and betting software solutions before being purchased by NDS Group in December of 2000. West Drayton-based NDS is majority-owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation and is a leading supplier of open end-to-end digital pay television solutions for the delivery of entertainment and information to television set-top boxes. It recently reported third quarter revenues of $182.16 million alongside net income of $13.38 million.
