Leading European online gaming company Gaming VC Holdings has announced that chartered accountant Richard Cooper has replaced Gerard Cassels as its Finance Director.

Luxembourg-based Gaming VC stated that 47-year-old Cooper spent the early part of his career in the money and stock markets where he was Finance Director for Tullett Prebon And Fidelity. He later moved on to serve as Group Financial Director for a number of quoted companies including Patsystems Group, a supplier of Internet financial software, before helping to found Trident Gaming in 2005.

Trident was a special purpose vehicle set up to acquire and run online gaming assets that soon purchased online sportsbook Gamebookers before selling it a year later for three times its acquisition price. Trident also owned the BetBug betting exchange and a stake in an online payment processor.

Gaming VC is the firm behind Malta-licensed CasinoClub.com and stated that another management change has seen Karl Diacono replace Adrian Smith as Non-Executive Director. Diacono is currently Chief Executive Officer for Fenlex Corporate Services Limited, Managing Director for Impetus Europe Consulting Group and Director for Gaming VC Corporation Limited, a Maltese subsidiary of Gaming VC to which Fenlex also provides certain payroll and administrative services.

Diacono has experience in the international online gaming sector after holding senior executive and non-executive positions for a number of privately-owned companies in Malta, Italy and Cyprus.
