PartyGaming Co-Founder Pleads Guilty To Illegal Gambling Charges
By Staff
PartyGaming co-founder Anurag Dikshit is reportedly to plead guilty to charges laid before him, potentially paying out a huge $300m fine. According to reports, Dikshit will appear in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday to plead guilty to at least one Wire Act violation and thereafter co-operate with Department of Justice investigations.

The Southern District of New York is the same jurisdiction that has been involved with several other high-profile indictments connected to online gambling, including NETeller co-founders Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre.

Dikshit is one of several high-profile founders of PartyGaming who retains significant ownership in the company, along with Russell DeLeon and Ruth Parasol.

Dikshit owns 27% of PartyGaming which is still valued at $41.6m even after the passage of the UIGEA saw its numbers drop dramatically.
