New AsianLogic “Poker Pack” Member David ‘Chino’ Rheem wins WPT Event.
Recently AsianLogic’s new group of card players, The Poker Pack, boasted a venerable new addition in the form of WSOP 2008 7th-place finisher David ‘Chino’ Rheem. He joined the ranks of Steve Sung and JC Tran at a great time – Rheem and Sung had just made the final table of the $15,000 WPT Doyle Brunson Classic.
Perhaps boosted by his recent signing with the company behind the Asian Poker Tour, Rheem put on a stellar performance and won the tournament, adding the $1,500,000 first prize to the $1.8m he received in November for making the final table of the WSOP Main Event.
Rheem finished off second-place finisher Justin Young, who had made a good run at the final table, when Young’s Q5 flopped top pair. However, Rheem held KK for a superior pair and won the hand and tournament.
Speaking of his recent AsianLogic signing, Chino added: 'The opportunity to sign a deal with all my friends was too good to be true! I have a huge amount of respect for JC, Nam, Quinn and Steve and together as a team I think we are really going places. I already pretty much travel the circuit with the other members of The Poker Pack and to be formally signed up is fantastic.'
