Playtech Launches ‘Play For Money’ Italian Poker Network
Isle of Man-based online casino software developer Playtech has announced that Italian fans of poker can now take part in actual games for cash following the launch of a ‘play for real money‘ mode on its network.
The international designer, developer and licensor had been offering a ‘play for fun’ mode for four of Italy’s leading operators after signing licensing agreements earlier this year. Now players at sites operated by SNAI Srl, Sisal SpA, Cogetech SpA and Gala Coral's Eurobet Italia SpA can play for real money over Playtech’s bespoke Italian poker network.
Playtech stated that it is committed along with its licensees to meeting all of the required Italian regulatory standards to ensure end-users enjoy a fully compliant poker solution at all times. It said that its new Italian poker network has been designed to appeal to the tastes of Italian players who seek a strong player-to-player community alongside high player liquidity.
The new Italian poker network utilises Playtech's leading back office system with customisation for the local market and has been fully integrated with its licensees in order to ensure a seamless gaming experience for the player.
'We are delighted with the launch of the Italian poker network,” said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer for Playtech.
“Playtech is committed to expanding its global reach in regulated markets across the world and working with the local regulator to bring a fully compliant product offering to market. The recent launch with leading Italian operators SNAI SRL, Gala Coral's Eurobet Italia SpA , Sisal SpA and Cogetech SpA set our foothold in the Italian market, which will lead to a prominent position in that market. The launch of the play for real network in Italy testifies to our extensive experience in penetrating new regulated markets with our best-of-breed software platform.'
